What new programs have been approved?
Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health Sciences and Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. Both are two year programs.
Each of the new undergraduate programs offers:
- A unique blending of contemporary science, evidence – based medicine and an introduction to integrative medicine practices
- A rigorous science education that helps students become culturally sensitive and compassionate citizens prepared for continued study or entry into the healing professions.

Are NUNM’s undergrad programs available to graduating high school students?
No, the undergraduate programs are not available to graduating high school students because they are designed for those who have already earned some college credit, but have not yet earned a degree.
How many terms are there?
Four terms the first academic year (including one course during the summer) and three terms the second academic year. The program begins in the fall.
What are the prerequisites for admissions?
As is detailed in the admissions guidelines, students are expected to enter the program with a minimum of 90 undergraduate credits (60 undergraduate semester credits) and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Students may earn up to 29 credits of general education at NUNM as part of their bachelor’s program.
What are the highlights of the Integrative Health Sciences program?
In the Integrative Health Sciences program, the core thread features a variety of complementary and integrative medical topics such as herbal medicine, whole-food nutrition and mind-body medicine. The program features a capstone project in which students will be required to draw on all aspects of the curriculum to develop a final project, research paper or complete an internship.
